Fish stringers, or keepers as they are sometimes referred to offer a simple yet effective way to keep your catch whilst in the water. Fish stringers come in many designs ranging from basic, through to more complex, thought out designs. The way in which all stringers work is the same. The stringer has a sharp metal spike with a length of line attached.
The stringer is attached at one end to your belt or float and the spike is placed through the gills of the caught fish. As you catch more fish you simply add the new catch to the bottom of the spearfishing stringer.
